Our therapeutic massages are intuitively guided based on your body’s reception to touch. Our therapists tune in to meet you where you’re at and go with the flow of response. Many massage modalities and techniques can be used based on what feels best.
Swedish Massage is the most commonly used massage modality combining a variety of different strokes from light to firm pressure with the use of lotion or oil on the skin. It is the base from which most of our therapeutic massage sessions begin before they take shape based on your needs and your body’s response.
Therapeutic Deep Tissue is intuitively applied deeper layer work. Therapeutic deep tissue massage can be integrated into your session as your muscles relax and deeper tissue layers can be accessed and worked on. This work is done slow at the pace of feel and should not cause discomfort.
Myofascial Techniques are comfortably blended into your session in kneading and wringing strokes to coax stuck, immobile tissues to soften so you can move more freely.
Point Work can be used to integrate acupressure points or address trigger points and tender muscle knots if found during your session. Sustained pressure is applied slowly with the breath to coax relaxation.
Passive Stretching & Mobilization can be used to introduce movement in your session while you relax. It can encourage muscle lengthening, joint lubrication, and circulation.
Aromatherapy stimulates the senses and can promote feelings of relaxation, calm, clarity, and relief depending on the scent. Some essential oils also have decongestant effects and anti-inflammatory properties which may be absorbed through the skin when mixed with a carrier oil or lotion. Add a little extra scented boost to your session.
